IHE- Integrating the Healthcare provides a detailed implementation and testing process to promote the adoption of standards-based interoperability by vendors and users of healthcare information systems. Product vendors find IHE Connectathon participation invaluable to their test development cycles as well as preparing them by testing and validating the readiness of vendor products to participate in live demonstrations such as the HIMSS Interoperability Showcases.
All participants in the HIMSS11 Connected Demonstration area must also participate and pass required testing in the IHE North American Connectathon 2011 to be held January 17-21, 2011 in Chicago, IL. The IHE Connectathons are weeklong interoperability-testing events held annually in locations worldwide. Registration for this event coincides with the HIMSS11 Interoperability Showcase- August 16, 2010 – October 8, 2010. Register on-line for the IHE Connectathon.
