The HIMSS08 World of Health IT Interoperability Showcase is the premier forum highlighting the Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise’s (IHE) common framework. IHE is a global initiative, now in its tenth year that creates the framework for passing vital health information seamlessly—from application to application, system to system, and setting to setting—across multiple healthcare institutions. IHE brings together healthcare information technology stakeholders to implement standards for communicating patient information efficiently among clinicians and other healthcare providers. About IHE Europe
IHE in Europe promotes interoperability between IT systems used by medical centers, ambulatory care, healthcare professionals, and healthcare networks.
